My placement took part in a preschool and Kindergarten in the city of Reno, Nevada. This Private preschool and kindergarten offers children a Christ centred, religious educational experience! 'they will walk away knowing they are loved by God' . I worked with children from the age of 3-6 years, usually small groups.
I stayed with a friend who moved to Reno.
I was fortunate enough to gain lifts to and from placement, and to sight see around the state.
The drinking age is 21 so no parties for me, but I did meet many new people from the local church and went to small gatherings at peoples houses etc were we would play games and enjoy ourselves. It was such a lovely community.
Things to do, things not to do
Lake Tahoe is a must Beautiful and teh cowboy town know as Virgina City. I would also recommened doing what i did, as I travelled so far for placement I went travelling after, I booked a trip through STA travel and headed to a raneg of places including; LA, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon! Totally worth the money and an amazing end to my placement.

research into the education system and get a good idea, so the staff can be impressed with your knowledge. Take a paper and pen to make plenty of notes. Kepp a dairy of everything you do, and be prepared to take lots of photos!!
