Placement Information

Nottingham Montessori School and baby unit is a small Day Nursery which consists of a baby room, toddler room, tweenie room and pre-school room but the Montessori method is only used within the pre-school room with children aged 2 - 4. The Pre-School rooms are based upstairs with one room for the Montessori Work and one room for Creative play; within the Montessori room they have lots of Montessori toys, however nothing is set out for the children to do as within the Montessori approach they are given the freedom to choose what they would like to do.

The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and assisted with anything you may need. Not all of the staff within the setting are qualified in the Montessori approach; however the Montessori room leader, Jeanette, has been qualified for many years and has an in depth knowledge of the approach and happily explained this in detail and answered any questions you may have.
