Placement Information

Solihull Scout County is made up of two districts Cole and Blythe. This wiki page will be focused on Cole District.

The District covers the rural areas of Hampton in Arden, Knowle, Dorridge, Balsall Common, Elmdon, Chelmsley Wood, Marston Green, Olton and the area of Solihull borough between the town centre and Coventry. These areas all have groups that are focused at children and young people age 6 up to 18 (http://solihullscouts.org.uk/districts/cole/)

The different groups within scouting are:

Beavers – 6 to 8 years

Cubs – 8 to 10½ years

Scouts – 10½ to 14 years

Explorers – 14 to 18 years

The next group up is for 18 to 25 year olds, this is called Network. Within Solihull we only have one network this is part of the county so is available to young people from Cole and Blythe.

Each group in the district is very different and approach things differently. To get the best experience you could visit a variety of sections or areas with in Cole district.
