Habonim Dror is a Charity Organization that works within the Jewish Community in the United Kingdom and Worldwide. Habonim Dror is a Socialist Zionist, Culturally Jewish youth movement that has been at the forefront of Jewish education in the UK and internationally for over 85 years. It is located in, Australia, Brazil, Belgium, France, The Netherlands, Mexico, New Zealand, South Africa, UK, Uruguay, Argentina, Germany, North American and Hungary.
In the UK, Manchester office is located near two metrolink stops (Crumpsall and Bowker Vale).
Habonim Dror itself provides a social life, meeting people from all over the world or simply just working locally in England. Very friendly and an accepting environment.
Things to do, things not to do
Try and use your own initiative when planning activities for children and also when nothing is planned for a couple of hours make sure the children are occupied to create an inclusive environment.
Be aware of time keeping especially when planning activities because the children get bored if they run for too long without a break.
always have a fruit bowl by the kitchen and make sure its full at all times along with a jug of cordial.
get as much sleep as you can because if youre on a weekend away you cant go to sleep unless all the children are in bed and asleep.
Any member of the head workers in the office.
remain positive, youll get tired and stressed but youll have just as much fun as the children do.
