Placement Information

Manor Farm Animal Centre was originally a donkey sanctuary but has since expanded to a larger farm and will take in any animals that the farm can cater for - all of the animals here have either been rescued or donated by owners that can no longer look after them. They have a wide range of animals such as, goats, sheep, pigs, ponies, llamas and smaller animals such as guinea pigs and rabbits. The farm is currently expanding and building a large animal "talk centre" where children will have the opportunity to hold animals such as iguana's and snakes and visit a wider variety of animals like parrots.

Accommodation

Transport

From Nottingham: bus 1 runs every 30 minutes from Nottingham city to East Leake village and takes about 45 minutes.

Before you go

Make sure to wear lots of warm clothes if the weather is poor as it does get really cold and wellies are an essential if its been raining.

Make sure you take a packed lunch as staff and volunteers are not allowed to use the cafe at the farm and East Leake Village is quite a walk just for lunch.

Look at there website before you decide when to go as they often put on fun days over Easter and on bank holidays which is really lovely to get involved with.
